Vernachlässigt: Psychische Gesundheit von Senioren im Fokus

„BERLIN (ami). Die psychische Gesundheit älterer Menschen wird oft vernachlässigt. Diese Auffassung vertritt die Berliner Gesundheitsstaatssekretärin Emine Demirbüken-Wegner (CDU).
Nach ihren Angaben leidet jeder vierte Mensch über 65 Jahren unter Depressionen, psychischen Erkrankungen oder Angstzuständen. Die Gründe seien vielschichtig.
Die Staatssekretärin verweist darauf, dass älteren Menschen mit zunehmenden körperlichen Defiziten die Kontaktpflege ebenso schwer falle wie die Beschaffung von Infos über Hilfsangebote.“
