QT-Intervall: Unterschiedliche Auswirkungen von Antidepressiva

„Boston – Nicht alle Antidepressiva führen zu einer Verlängerung des QT-Intervalls, die das Risiko lebensgefährlicher ventrikulärer Arrhythmien birgt. Eine Analyse von US-Versichertendaten im Britischen Ärzteblatt (BMJ 2013; 346: f288) zeigt, dass die meisten selektiven Serotonin-Wiederaufnahmehemmer (SSRI) unbedenklich sind. Ein Wirkstoff hatte sogar prognostisch günstige Wirkungen auf das EKG.“
